More detailed information about the snowpack: 

No new avalanches observed or blowing snow seen from highway.  Thin cover overall on and adjacent to highway.  Snow surfaces near road consisted of sun crusts and near surface facets in the trees.

Quick walk up the road from gate above Leavitt turn off.  Drove on pavement up to this point.  Above gate, road consists of a few settled inches of snow along with several dry patches.  More continuous snow coverage above 9000' except southerly aspects.

Mostly clear, calm, and warm.  Snow surfaces were beginning to refreeze from moistening earlier in the day.
