Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Quick pit to check for reactivity at and near the previous snow surface prior to our most recent round of storms.  The crust/facet combo noted in other locations regionally was not present in this sheltered location at 8600'.  We did not apply excessive force but experienced no failures at or below the previous snow surface consisting of fist hard grains (possibly rounding NSF).

Sunday's low density snow (storm 1) was capped by a 15-20cm layer of moist high density snow (storm 2) leaving us with an "upside down" snowpack.  Density inversions within these 48 hour accumulations were reactive in repeated ECT results.

48 hr HNS: 51m

ECTP2, ECTP3 RP at density inversion in new snow
