More detailed information about the weather:

We took a walk up Robinson Creek today to see how the incoming weather was reacting with our local topography outside of Twin Lakes. From the drive in on 395 we could see that the Sierra Crest was obscured in clouds. As we walked into the range we could feel the strong southwest wind on our faces, and saw spindrift recirculating throughout the valley. Only a trace of new snow was on the ground this afternoon. The first few miles of the approach was a mix of skinning and walking as the forest floor is devoid of snow in many places.
