Driving along highways 395 and 108 today we observed a couple of new loose wet avalanches that occurred naturally over the weekend. They were all on below tree line north facing terrain near Devils Gate and Leavitt Falls. All were size D1 but still large enough to knock you off your feet and take you for a short ride. It was cooler today with gusty winds and some rain showers at lower elevations.
