Friday evening’s online discussion regarding avalanches and snowmobiles is open to anyone interested. Saturday’s field portion will integrate & develop skills to keep you safe in avalanche terrain. Topics include understanding avalanche forecasts, recognizing avalanche terrain, signs of unstable snowpack, good decision making and basic avalanche companion rescue skills.
Participants in the field session must have the below items/skills:
-reliable registered snowmobile
-basic mountain riding skills
-modern avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe
