More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Soft dry snow still lingers up high in wind pillows or shaded areas above, near, & below treeline. Above treeline areas have a mix of unsupportable to firm wind scoured crusts. Corn snow exists on all aspects below 8000' & it is melting fast. No new avalanches were seen in my travels today. Many folks were stepping-out in there riding & pushing high into steep terrain.

An amazing day in the mountains. It stayed cool in the alpine & kept the shaded riding in good form. Very light to calm winds from the SW.
