As expected, snow is thin in the sonora pass area. Sun exposed areas are melting out at all elevations and moisture is percolating down into the snow pack.

Today, there was a slight breeze and LOTS of sun. It felt warm out there, not a cloud to be seen.

Our pit was dug in a loaded gully and is not representative of the surrounding snow pack but gave us a bit more to look at. Generally, the snow seems to be rounding and the facets at the ground are much less significant than earlier in the season yet continue to persist.
