More detailed information about the snowpack:

We toured into the Crater Crest area to see how last week's blowing snow affected east facing aspects. Exposed slopes had a stout wind board on the surface, ski pen was minimal (see pictures). Sheltered areas contained more soft snow but were still a mixed bag of surface conditions. We dug a few quick pits on NE slopes and preformed stability tests at the base of a small skiable slope. CTN and ECTX resulted. Rocks and bushes were plentiful below 50 cm.  At the top of the ridge, cracks were observed in small cornices.  We skied the slope.
