Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

We rode into the BWRA today and skied a SE facing gully.  We dug a pit at 10,700' and saw no signs of instability despite there being two icy layers.  Detailed pit information is in an attached picture, but there was no propagation on either ECT or CT and required extreme force with a shovel sheer. Clouds and winds increased throughout the afternoon.  Surface snow conditions varied as some spots softened, although not too mushy, in the sunlight while others remained firm and windboarded.  The skiing conditions were neither amazing nor awful, but there were no signs of instability on the descent.

Clouds and winds increased into the afternoon, but remained mostly sunny and above freezing.  The wind was not transporting much, if any, snow.
