Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

We spent the day around the Leavitt Lake area. Unsure of how the recent snowfall had affected the snowpack we searched for warning signs and other indicators of instability. We were able to observe plenty of sleds testing the slopes and highmarking on wind packed slopes. Some skiers were able to carve some lines in the Leavitt cirque (see photo 1). It was apparent that the slopes were staying intact and provided optimal fun. That being said we were still cautious of the terrain and opted for some meadow skipping.
