Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Got up to near and above treeline terrain between Sardine Meadow and VooDoo bowl to check on lingering areas of slab over our rounding facet layers.  Didn't find dry surface snow till around 9700'.  Not much for harder slab over these old facet layers, other than in a few previously wind loaded areas just below ridgeline and in some smaller cross loaded gully features.  Hand pits near treeline on N and E aspects had moderate results within the January snow and at facet layer down between 30-55cm.  Chose our test profile location in a previously wind loaded pocket near ridgeline with a bit thicker 1F - P slab to check for propagation.  Did not get any.
