Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Went up to Sonora Pass and poked around the area near the PCT crossing.  E through SW facing slopes all had some sort of crust from warm temps and direct solar imput.  Northerly facing slopes still contained soft snow conditions.  We observed lots of surface hoar on shady slopes near the Leavitt Lake Road junction, but none was observed higher up above the road.  Dug a pit on a N facing slope at 10K ft just above Sonora Pass and found generally stable conditions, though some small factets were observed on the surface.
