Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

I toured near Buckeye canyon today to see what last night's (1/4) storm brought to lower elevations.  What minimal amount of snow fell was transported by the wind mid storm, resulting in trace amounts of snow added to the overall snowpack.  I traveled up a north aspect, at 7600' snow surface changed from a melt-freeze crust to broken particles and facets. I dug a pit at 8200' , broken particles provided a 2cm  deep surface layer above facets extending to the ground.  HS=38cm
